Key Services

High Voltage Testing

Our High Voltage Testing team offers a range of services related to the testing, repair and life-cycle management of high voltage assets such as transformers, motors, generators and rotating plants.

Our approach

As high voltage assets are vital infrastructure, their reliability is of paramount importance. Our comprehensive assistance to plant and asset owners in the areas of asset management systems, condition monitoring and condition and life assessment facilitates the economic and safe operation of these critical assets.

Services

Our key services include Transformer Management, Plant Repair Management, Rotating Plant Life Management, Electrical Plant Support Services and our 720kV AC High Voltage Mobile Test Unit.

Mechanical Testing

Mechanical testing is the measurement, investigation and monitoring of an industrial plant for defects, undesirable operation or deteriorating health. Various testing technologies are implemented to determine the plant’s condition or establish the cause of the fault or undesirable operation. Our mechanical testing team undertake routine monitoring, specialised online system development and detailed investigation and testing.

Our Approach

We apply our engineering expertise to develop innovative methodologies and solutions to achieve asset integrity and performance assurance. Our mechanical team analyse the problem at hand and apply our knowledge and experience to develop a solution to meet our customer’s requirements.

Services

Mechanical testing services include Integrated Condition Monitoring, Machinery Dynamics and Vibration Diagnostics, Specialist Mechanical Testing, Reliability Engineering Services, Performance Analysis and Improvement Services and Online System Development.

Oil Testing Laboratory

Insulating oil testing is a critical step in the management of transformer assets to optimise operational availability. Oil sampling is a cost-effective way of determining the health of your transformer with no need for down time. Sample results are used to determine the suitability of the insulating oil for future use as well as indicate if a possible fault exists in the transformer.

Our Approach

Our Insulating Oil Laboratory provides access to a wide range of insulating oil analysis methods to keep you informed on the overall health of your transformer. We are compliant with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA Accreditation (Accreditation No. 4669) and all work is performed to Australian and International standards.

We provide a wide range of insulating oil analysis services for a diverse client base. Our current clients include power stations, electrical distribution networks, mines and transformer build and maintenance companies.

Environmental Monitoring

Ambient air quality monitoring is the assessment of pollutant levels in the outdoor air. This is done by measuring the quantity and types of certain pollutants, trending and analysing the data and assessing against relevant regulatory standards in accordance with our NATA accreditation for these services.

Our approach

We combine over 30 years of proven industry experience with a trusted methodology for the design and implementation of both short term studies and long term environmental monitoring programs to satisfy EPA compliance and due diligence requirements.

Our approach is to design a customised environmental monitoring program to meet individual client requirements, including program methodology, site selection, sample methodology and collection, reporting, site operation and maintenance, database management, data assessment and training.

Occupational Hygiene

Occupational Hygiene is a science and engineering discipline dedicated to the measure and then implementation of control strategies related to worker risk related to exposure of hazards. It aims to understand risks and promote safe working conditions and practices.

Our approach

Our Occupational Hygienist can assist you in providing a safe workplace environment and enable you to comply with WHS legislative requirements and regulations.

We predominantly operate within the biological and chemical hazard categories of biological and chemical, covering noise, inhalable and respirable air pollution (asbestos, gaseous & particulate), electromagnetic radiation, heat stress and hazardous chemical exposure. We implement programs to monitor, quantify and report in terms of compliance with accepted exposure limits.

Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists

As a full member of AIOH our Senior Occupational Hygienist holds a membership certificate, undertakes regular professional development and has the recognition of his peers in the field.

Asset Management

Focussing on power generation, mining, manufacturing and associated heavy industry sectors, We work with our customers to provide highly effective monitoring, testing, analysis and advisory services. These services are supported by the practical application of Asset Management tools and processes. We maximise personnel and equipment safety, asset availability and production output while lowering maintenance costs throughout the life of your equipment.

Our approach

We work collaboratively with clients to provide targeted and practical Asset Management solutions with the end goal in mind. We aim to help businesses by improving the way assets are planned, managed and maintained to reduce the overall cost to the business while ensuring the assets perform at required levels.

We have the capability to assist businesses implement required elements of the Asset Management Standard ISO55000 by utilising experienced personnel with technical/engineering knowledge, management experience and with the associated credentials.

We have a range of advanced technology solutions that can assist in managing assets over their lifecycle, helping to optimise cost and streamline operations in asset intensive industries.

NATA laboratory world recognised

We have independent NATA accreditation for environmental monitoring and our oil testing laboratory (Accreditation No.4669), as well as high voltage testing (Accreditation No.839).

The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) is Australia’s national accreditation body for the accreditation of laboratories, inspection bodies, calibration services, producers of certified reference materials and proficiency testing scheme providers throughout Australia.

NATA provides independent assurance of technical competence and integrity of organisations offering testing, inspection and calibration services (collectively known as conformity assessment) for customers who require confidence in the delivery of their products and services.

NATA accreditation is formal recognition that we produce reliable technical results and therefore our customers can have confidence and trust in our services.
